Vanessa's debut performance was in 1st grade, when she played the lead in the school play "Everybody Eats Rice". Vanessa then played the lead Witch in "Macbeth", and leading roles in numerous plays and musicals such as "Rusty" in Footloose, "Maria" in The Sound of Music, and "Christine" in The Phantom of The Opera with local Boston theatre companies, before attending the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Manhattan. Since moving to Los Angeles, Vanessa has acted in commercials, won "Best Actress" at the LA Webfest, and appeared in a leading role in the feature film "5150".
Singer
Vanessa's debut singing performance was "Summertime" when she was 13. She is trained classically and is a High Soprano/ Belter. She was the youngest member of The Neponset Chorale Society for 3 years, and has sung the National Anthem at over 25 sporting events. Besides performing extensively in musical theatre, Vanessa has sung in national commercials, Cabarets, Broadway Revue Concerts, Madrigal Plays, and at the Xfinity Center in her hometown of Mansfield, MA for an audience of over 20,000. Vanessa began writing out of frustration with the lack of strong female roles she was auditioning for. She founded Stardust Films in 2012 to create female driven projects. Stardust Films first feature "5150' was released globally by Gravitas Ventures. Vanessa's writing portfolio includes five feature film screenplays, all with strong female leads as well as a television series and numerous short form scripts.
